Thank you for your interest in Bynum School. We look forward to helping you through your application journey and hope you will take advantage of the many opportunities we offer at Bynum School. To begin the admission process, please complete an Inquiry Form.
 

Bynum accepts applications year-round, although, enrollment is only offered in August and January. In addition to the student's age and diagnosis, the application asks for information about their last evaluation, their current physical, occupational, and speech therapy placement, medical needs, and any changes from their existing services.

At this time, we will have limited space for the 2024-2025 school year. Within a month of completing an inquiry form, you will obtain communication from Bynum School.

1. Are student grants available to families?

Yes. Bynum School offers student grants to parents. To qualify, parents must meet income-based eligibility criteria. A student grant application is separate from an enrollment application. When completing the inquiry form, parents should consider payment options and tuition payment procedures. Bynum School does not have access to family finances, so parents must determine their ability to pay.

2. What methodology does Bynum School use in the classrooms? 

Bynum School tailors its programs to meet the needs of each student. The teachers use multisensory learning, positive reinforcement, and behavior modification techniques. The low student-to-teacher ratio allows teachers to engage individually with students.

3. Are Bynum School credits transferable to public schools? 

Yes. Bynum School is accredited by Cognia.

4. How is Bynum School funded?

In addition to tuition payments, Bynum School receives funding from private trusts, foundation grants, fundraising events, and gifts from individuals and corporations.

5. Can I make a tax-deductible gift to Bynum School?

In fact, yes. The Internal Revenue Service recognizes Bynum School as a charitable organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. To the full extent permitted by law, your gifts are tax deductible.

6. When did Bynum School open?

Bynum School was established in 1984.

7. What are the long-term plans for Bynum School?

The Board of Directors consistently undertakes long-term and short-term planning. The Board of Directors adopted a strategic plan for 2021-2023 in March 2021. Bynum School's goals include implementing effective human resource practices, establishing governance to provide direction and support to administrators, planning for expansion, and managing finances to ensure sustainability.
