Brief Description:
Bynum School provides year-round programs and services for children and adults who have special needs. Bynum School seeks an energetic, dedicated, and skilled Facility Maintenance Assistant. Major responsibilities include ensuring that indoor and outdoor spaces are clean and safe for students and staff, performing maintenance duties during the school day, restocking disposables, assisting with setting up furniture for events, inspecting grounds, facilities and vehicles for
cleanliness, and reporting damage, needed repairs, safety concerns to supervisor.
The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents is essential.
Job requirements include a valid Texas driver’s license, and the ability to lift supplies, and operate equipment. Flexible hours are required to be able to respond to alarms, to set up facilities during evenings and weekends. Assess, plan lessons based on individual program plans

Modify curriculum

Demonstrate working knowledge of disability categories
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Teaching certificate in special education preferred

Valid Texas driver’s license

Experience in special education

Supervise teacher assistants

Collaborate with Therapists

Able to lift and have adequate mobility
